The role of XMP Open is to work in partnership with Adobe to establish a community of media industry stakeholders that will foster large scale XMP adoption by developing best practices and industry education, establishing registries and certification programs, developing open-source value-add implementation tools and providing an interface between Adobe and the media industry to specify emerging requirements for extending and enhancing the specification over time.
